INTRODUCTION:

Silybum Marianum (Linne) Gaertner (Compositae) is a dry mature fruit of Silybum Marianum (Linne) Gaertner without the removal of the crown. About 6~7mm long to 3mm wide to 1.5mm thick upper surface with a prominent cartilaginous smooth yellow edge; Hilum smooth brown-black or coarsely grayish-brown with black or grayish-white streaks; fatty oil and aleurone grains present in straight buds containing two thick flat cotyledons.

 

Function: 

1. Liver protection

 

Silymarin is the main active ingredient of liver protection, which can stimulate the formation of new liver cells and improve liver function.
