Description:
Andrographis Paniculata, known as 'The King of Bitters,' is traditionally used in Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine.
It is prized for its anti-bacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties, but is most commonly used for lesser issues such as the common cold, sinus infections, general inflammation, pain, and detoxification.
Andrographolide is a labdane diterpenoid that is the main bioactive component of the medicinal plant Andrographispaniculata. Andrographolide is an extremely bitter substance extracted from the stem and leaves of the andrographispaniculata. When in bloom, Andrographis exhibits small white flowers. The plant is grown for medicinal purposes in China and India.
