Soapnut, Latin name is sapindus mukurossi , its thick fleshy skin contains saponin, as long as rubbed with water will produce foam, can be used for cleaning, is one of the main cleaners in ancient times.

Ancient and modern medical books have made a detailed record of the washing and medical effects of Wuhongzi.
