Description:
Maquiberry is a genus of Duaceae, mallow order, with a trunk length of 4-5m. There are hundreds of Maquiberry in a tree. It is a small wild dark purple berry with a diameter of about 4-6mm. Anthocyanins content of margie-berries grown on Patagonia plateau in Chile is much higher than that of other fruits due to harsh environment such as cold and high radiation. For hundreds of years, the Mapuche Indians have traditionally used maciberries to help with sore throats, diarrhea, ulcers, hemorrhoids, childbirth, fevers, tumors and more. Its leaves have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antibacterial and other effects.
