Description:

Rubia cordifolia (scientific name: Rubia cordifolia), also known as blood madder, the ancient name Ru Qi, and ground blood, west King grass alias, is a kind of madder family climbing plants. Born in roadside grass, thickets, hillside, produced in Northeast China, North China, northwest and other places. Madder stems slender, often with tiny prickles, leaves 4 whorls, heart-shaped, with long petioles, cymes, flowers small, light yellow, fruit spherical, reddish brown when mature.
