Description:

Tagetes erecta L. is an annual herb of the genus Marigold in the compositae family. Its stems are erect, stout, with longitudinal-slender ribs, and its branches spread upward. Leaf pinnate division; There are a few glands along the leaf margin. Inflorescence solitary; Involucre cup-shaped, apically apiculate; Ligulate flowers yellow or dark orange; Tubular flowers with yellow corolla.
