Description:
The main extraction methods of allicin are steam distillation, solvent extraction and supercritical CO2 (CSF-CO2) extraction. The extraction rate and purity of allicin in the former two methods are very low, and the supercritical extraction of allicin has the best stability, the highest yield and the best quality. The extraction yield was 92% and the purity of allicin was 84%.
