Description:
Lagerstroemia speciosa (L.) Pers.) is a large tree belonging to the genus Myrtle, Lythylandaceae. Up to 25 meters high; Bark gray, smooth; Columnar cylindrical, glabrous or slightly furfurate. Leaves leathery, oblong-elliptic or ovate-elliptic, thinly lanceolate, apex obtuse or mucronate, base broadly cuneate to rounded; Petioles 6 -- 15 mm long, stout.
