Description:
Shilajit is the most important medicine in Ayurvedic nutrition (Veda nutrition). It is the coal or lignite that is weathered in the high mountains and is the most natural and high-quality source of humic acid. Before processing, it resembles an asphaltic substance, a deep red gooey substance composed of a compact mass of herbs and organic matter. It tastes bitter and it smells like old cow urine. The name of Shilajit's plant is Asphaltum. It is divided into four categories, Sauvarna, Rajat, Tamra and Lauha, according to the mineral predominance of the source rock. The last variety Lauha Shilajit or Blackish-Brown Shilajit is common and should be the most effective.
