Description:

Huang BO, Chinese traditional medicine name. Phellodendron chinense Schneid is a genus of rutaceae. Dried bark of the tree. It is called "Sichuan huangbai". After stripping the bark, remove the rough skin and dry it in the sun.This product is plate or shallow groove shape, length and width, 1 ~ 6mm thick. The outer surface is yellowish brown or yellowish brown, flat or has the longitudinal furrow grain, some visible leather hole mark and the remaining grayish brown thick skin; Inner surface dark yellow or light brown, with fine longitudinal ribbed. Light body, hard quality, fibrous section, split lamination, deep yellow. Micro - qi, taste very bitter, chewing sticky.
