Olive leaf is the leaf of the olive tree (Olea europaea). The silvery green leaves are oblong, measuring 4-10 centimetres (1.6-3.9 in) long and 1-3 centimetres (0.39-1.2 in) wide.
Historically, olive leaves are known as a symbol of peace, so it is not surprising that olive leaf tea provides a soothing, relaxing, gently mellow herbal brew that evokes a sense of wellbeing. Some lemon or honey enhances the flavour; it is excellent chilled and drunk over ice. Olive leaf tea leaves can be added to a marinade, especially for fish, or used in a spice rub to season a variety of dishes.
1.Antioxidation
Oleuropein can protect skin cells from ultraviolet radiation, prevent the decomposition of skin membrane lipids by ultraviolet radiation, promote the production of collagen protein by fiber cells, reduce the secretion of collagen enzyme by fiber cells, and prevent the anti glycan reaction of cell membrane, so as to highly protect fiber cells, naturally resist the damage of skin caused by oxidation, and avoid UV radiation damage, Effectively maintain skin tenderness and elasticity, and achieve the effect of supporting and rejuvenating skin.
2.Broad spectrum antibacterial effect
Oleuropein is a broad-spectrum antibacterial component taken orally. So far, the most active substance identified in olive leaves is oleopicroside.
3.Strengthening the immune system
Some doctors have successfully used oleopicroside in the treatment of patients with medically unexplained diseases such as chronic fatigue syndrome and muscle fiber pain. This may be the result of its direct stimulation of the immune system.
