Description:
The rhizome of rhodiola macroflora is cylindrical, stubby, slightly curved, with a few branches, 5 -- 500px long and 2.9 -- 112.5px in diameter. The surface is brown or brown, rough and wrinkled, peeling off the outer epidermis has a layer of membranous yellow epidermis and pink pattern, persistent part of the old flower stem, the base of the flower stem is triangular or oval membranous scales, internode irregular, section pink to purplish red, there is a ring grain, light, loose. The taproots are cylindrical and short, about 500px long, with an upper diameter of 37.5px and a lateral root of 10-750px. Section orange-red or purplish red, sometimes fissured.
