Description:

Centella asiatica (L.) Urban is a perennial herb of umbelliferae and Genus Centella asiatica, with prostrate stems, elongated and rooting on nodes. Leaf blade membranous to grassy, rounded, reniform or horseshoe, margin bluntly serrate, base broadly cordate, glabrous or sparsely pilose on abaxially veins; Palmate veins, raised on both sides, branched upper veins; Petiole glabrous or pubescent distally, base leaf sheath transparent, membranous. Umbel, gathering in leaf axils, bracts ovate, membranous, petals ovate, purplish red or milky white, membranous, filaments shorter than petals, as long as style. Fruit bilaterally flattened, globose, base cordate to flat-truncate, reticulate, surface hairy or smooth. Flowering and fruiting from April to October.
