Soapberry is a plant in the genus Sapindus, native to warm temperate to tropical regions. The berries of these plants contain a natural, low-sudsing detergent called saponin. The drupes (soapnuts) contain saponins which is a natural surfactant. They have been used for washing for thousands of years by native peoples in Asia and Native Americans. Soapnuts are being considered and used for cosmetics and detergents and so on.
1. Used for the preparation of hand sanitizer, shower gel, shampoo, soap, cosmetics and other products;
2. Used as pesticide emulsifier;
3. Used for anti-tumor, anti-virus, anti-fungal, and antihypertensive drugs;
4. Used as a natural active machine contaminants solubilizer.
