Cornus officinalis is also known as Shu Jujube, medicinal jujube, jujube skin and cornus meat. First contained in Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing. It is the mature flesh of Macrocarpiumoff-icinale(Sieb. EtZucc.)Nakai of Cornaceae. Corni officinalis fruit contains lonicera glucoside, 7-0-methyl lonicera glucoside, medicinal glucoside, corni officinalis tannin, ursolic acid, gallic acid, malic Chemicalbook, tartaric acid and carotene, etc. The cornus officinalis extract is yellow or brown-yellow powder, which has tonifying liver and kidney and astringent essence.
