Description:

Vitex agnus-Castus Linn. (Vitex Agnus-Castus Linn.) is a shrub of Vitex genus, verbenaceae, with a height of 2-3 meters [5]. Branchlets four-prismatic, palmately compound leaves, opposite, small leaves narrowly lanceolate, apical acuminate, base cuneate, surface green, cymes arranged paniculate, bracts linear, hairy; Flower-stalk very short or nearly absent; Calyx campanulate, corolla blue-purple, outside hairy and glandular spots; Filaments pilose at base; Style subequal to filaments or slightly shorter, ovary apical glandular spot.
